Soccer fans in the United States aren’t too happy about Fox’s coverage, or lack thereof, of the 2024 European Football Championship, and they’re taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) to let the world know.
The Euros is the Union of European Football Associations’ (UEFA) premier association football tournament and is typically the second most-watched soccer tournament in the world just after the FIFA World Cup. Occurring in a different city just once every four years, this month-long tournament is understandably a must-see event for fans from all over, regardless of whether they call the game soccer or football.
But for fans in America, gaining access to the 2024 Euro in Germany has been no easy feat. The Euro 2024 website, says that those attempting to watch the matches from the US will have access via Fox Sports USA English, FuboTV, and VIX, but people have been taking to X to share that things aren’t quite as they seem.
FOX locking some of the euros games behind a paywall in fubo is just pure evil. I remember when ESPN had the rights to the tournament. They showed every game and it was easy to access. FOX, i hate you so much and I have lost all respect for you.

“FOX locking some of the euros games behind a paywall in fubo is just pure evil,” tweeted one user. “Why does FOX acquire the rights to the EURO in the US just to [proceed] with an unserious coverage and not even show all of the games?” shared another.
Why does FOX acquire the rights to the EURO in the US 🇺🇸 just to procede with an unserious coverage and not even show all of the games?

Here are some of the other things that viewers and football fans (including author John Green) are saying about Fox and FuboTV’s handle on the 2024 Euro:
Absolutely shocking that @FOXSports isn't even broadcasting the Euros games that they paid a bajillion dollars for the rights to broadcast. Only (legal) way to watch in the U.S. is with a Fubo subscription that costs $80 a month. Embarrassing. Nobody worse at "growing the game."

Fox Sports is by far the worst license holder for sports properties in the US. Not having streaming and then putting European Championship games on a 3rd party streaming service that is $80 is f*cking criminal

— AU_Propaganda (@AuPropaganda) June 15, 2024Dear @FOXSports,
-We ain’t paying for Fubo
-We’re streaming it for free
-All you’ve done is piss everyone off
-You’re assholesSincerely,
America
— Jacob Schneider (@_jacobschneider) June 15, 2024For those of us who are lucky enough to have Fubo, it’s even funnier that they don’t have a score/clock graphic.
Legit have no idea how much time is left in the game without looking at my phone.
FOX could care less about this tournament, and its such a shame. pic.twitter.com/Klzosla5ep
— Eddie Mikus (@eddiemikus) June 15, 2024Just so we are aware: FOX sublicensed a game in the Euros to FUBO so that FS1 could air the Bassmaster Fishing Elite Series.
What the actual heck? @worldsoccertalk @kkfla737 pic.twitter.com/HgaFGPfwEO
can someone tell FOX that there exists a symbol that you can use to show that a team is down a player pic.twitter.com/nYPcNYQ7gX

— Santiago Muñez (@mozkid8) June 15, 2024Americans stop complaining about Fubo & Fox coverage of Euro cup
Just download the Vix app for $6.99 and enjoy every Euro Cup & Copa America game in one place…only catch they're all in Spanish pic.twitter.com/mxX79RQ6Y1
Please never give Fox a major international tournament again. It's ridiculous that multiple matches are airing on Fubo

— Orri Benatar (@obenatar512) June 15, 2024For anyone confused, a few #Euro2024 games are on Fubo, including this Hungary-Switzerland match about to kick off.
FS1 showing pro fishing and FS2 some racing replays. You could say I disagree with the choices.
